Today we had to find the answer to a problem.

Off and on the Bus


I am the driver of the zoo bus.
I have 6 passengers on my bus at the start of my trip.
At each stop, 6 passengers get on and 2 get off.
There are 6 stops on the way to the zoo.
When I reach the zoo all the passengers get off. How many is that?

Jayden, Lottie and Jack thought 30 people got off at the last stop.
They used 6 pieces of white paper as bus stops, a red piece of paper as the bus and beans as people.
Were they right?

Emma and Bella also thought 30 people got off the bus. They used 6 pieces of paper as bus stops, counters as passengers and a number board as their bus.
Were they right?
