Oliver,s Golden School

Oliver'S Golden School

On Sunday my nana  Margaret came to my house for dinner when she got there I saw nana with some books called Oliver's Golden School. She said to me "these are some books because you are a great reader right''. I said "yes"  "Well you can read these book to the class." So I said'' I would love to." Then 1 second later I saw that at the very very bottom of the page was her name.

She had written the story and her friend had illustrated it (Sarah Honor) .Then we had dinner but before I had to read it to nana there are tricking words like impossible and Carter (thats a name) and some the other words. Nana said "you read that book very very well Annabel". I said to nana "thanks you are a good writer I loved the story " We were giving a copy to each child in my class but we had about 20 short so when nana was about to leave. She found 20 more so we got some and then she got me a times table toons .Then she got the 20 books and then mum and her chatted. Then we said bye thanks for the books and times table things. See you next Sunday.

Fantastic 14 says "Thank you Annabel's Nana for the fabulous book. You are very clever and we can know you Go For Gold!"

My puppy Roxie by Sophie

Today I brought my adorable puppy Roxie into my class this morning and every one was crawling all
 over her .
It was so much fun being with her in the same spot. I just love hanging out with her and smiling with her in my

house . At school everyone got to  pat  Roxie and hear about

her life and what happened at puppy school .It was fun coming in

and showing my classmates my cute, little, puppy but best of
all she got used to other children .  Now when I get home I can have a big, huge cuddle with her .
So yeah I'm a very lucky girl to have a nice puppy like
her.

Te Manawa By Jacob

Making feathers
Making our duck
Testing duck pond water with indicator paper
On Monday we went to Te Manawa! I went with Emma's mum. First up we were going to make a duck. First we ripped some waxpaper up into shred's. These were pretend feathers. Then we  put them into a plastic bag  tied it up. Next we took our duck for a swim. By Jacob

Te Manawa by Xavier

On Monday we travelled to Te Manawa to learn about water.First we pulled up at the carpark
and went and sat inside the building. The person that taught us was called Barbara. First we went upstairs and sat on the seats. We learnt quite a lot. Then we did the Duck feathers experiment. We had to rip up waxpaper for the feathers then put them in a plastic bag, next  we tied up  the neck. Never put dish wash down outside drains because it can affect ducks and kill them.

Te Manawa

On   Monday  we  travelled  to   Te  Manawa   to  learn  about  water. First  we  piled  into  a  school  room   and  did  some  learning  on  liquid.   That  was  our   big  thing were  going  to  learn  about. I  liked  the  duck   feathers  experiment. We all got   a  plastic   bag    and  a   twisty  tie  with  a   bit   of   wax   paper .

.Every one  had   to  rip   up  the  wax   paper   and   put   it  in  the   plastic   bag with  the  twisty  tie   around.
Then   put  it  in  a  big   container  and  and  let  it  float  over  the  water   for  awhile. Then  we  did  it   again   but  with  some  dish  wash.   It  looked  a lot  more  different . Because   the  first  time  we  did  it  the  paper  was  dry  and  sticky     but  the  second  time it  was  wet  and  soggy. That  shows  us  we    should   never   put  dishwash  down  the  outside drain because   it  affects  wild  life.  It  sticks  bird's   wings  and  makes  them  heavy because the water soaks in. They get cold It also  makes  fish gills  stick  Now  you  know why to never never  put  dish  wash  down  the out side drain. After  that we  got  some  free  time "I  loved  it"

Tiaki's Birthday

On June the 9th it was my birthday party. I
had invited my best friendSarah, Lily and Sophie. After school we went to the pools and had some lollies and played a tag game in the pools. For tea we had burger fuel. Then we came back to my house and played Singstar. We got into pairs. There was me and Sarah. Lily and Sophie. After a few songs my mum came in with some nail polish and said "Who wants to get their nails done?"and of cause everyone did and they got their nails done. Then we had pudding which was star and heart shaped jelly with pineapple and grapes. For games we had a remembering game and a game where you have to read a clue and see who is the best at doing it and the person that read the clue is the judge. After that we went to bed and had a little talk. Then my mum came in and said "Who wants a glow stick." Everyone wanted one and  got one. In the morning we had a ice cream cake which is awsome!                                                 PS. My real birthday is June the 11th.

Going for Gold Soccer.

Last week on Saturday we played soccer and we vesused  Red socks.
Red socks was the first game we played in the season.
We won the last game 10-0 but, last week we won 3-0.
The win was hippy hippy hooray! .
I got man of the match.
got a trophy and a certificate. The day after that day I had an 8th grade tournament.
Well the tournament was held in Papio park. Which is North Ends home ground so they had an advantage because, they have played on the park before.
The first game was against Feilding. Feilding was the team we beat 11-0 last time. This time we beat them 4-0.
The next game we played was against Milson school. The score ended 3-0 and I was feeling a bit weird because we were to vs Hokowhitu or North End next.
At 12.30 we were to vs North End and they had beaten us last time 3-2.
The game at half time was 2-1 to them but, then we scored and tied 2-2.
Then it went to penalties. We won the penalties 3-0.  I scored the second  goal.
Taine our captain lead us to the final. The team we were to vs in the final was Marist.
At  half time it was 2-0 to us.
The score in the second half - we scored a goal so the score was
3-0.
We had just won the tournament!!!
I got a certificate and a medal!
I was proud!!!!!!!!!!!
