On Monday we travelled to Te Manawa to learn about water. First we piled into a school room and did some learning on liquid. That was our big thing were going to learn about. I liked the duck feathers experiment. We all got a plastic bag and a twisty tie with a bit of wax paper .
.Every one had to rip up the wax paper and put it in the plastic bag with the twisty tie around.
Then put it in a big container and and let it float over the water for awhile. Then we did it again but with some dish wash. It looked a lot more different . Because the first time we did it the paper was dry and sticky but the second time it was wet and soggy. That shows us we should never put dishwash down the outside drain because it affects wild life. It sticks bird's wings and makes them heavy because the water soaks in. They get cold It also makes fish gills stick Now you know why to never never put dish wash down the out side drain. After that we got some free time "I loved it"
