Dance

We  performed a dance for the Middle and Senior Syndicate called Firework by Katie Perry.
Miss Renall our student teacher taught us the dance. 
She thought we were awesome.
We had to practice hard and remember quite a few steps.
We were Going for Gold!

Kadar's Kids

Yay  its  Friday . 
I  was  allowed  to bring  the  kid  goats  to  school. 
 I  fed Georgia. 
Boxer peed on the floor  then georgia peed  right next to Boxer's pee 
We put the kid goats in the box then me  and dad took the kid goats 
to my buddy class.  
They were vey noisy 
Georgia nearly poohed on the floor but luckily she poohed in the box.

Yesterday I went to movie world and the first part of Movie world was the dinosaur. This was actually a robot that roared. I met Bugs Bunny and his girlfriend- Hot Chick.

 My favourite ride was the Road Runner roller coaster. I felt it was real freaky at the start because it tipped over and I’ve never been on one before. I went back 3x. I met Sylvester and Tweetie. Sylvester was being naughty and mean. Batman was in the supersonic car and he fought with mean and bad people. He is a hero. I also saw Daffie Duck. I drove my own taxi really well…..I kept bumping people on the Bumper car.

We will also going to go to Seaworld and Australia Zoo.

Olympic Fun Day

We had a fantastic olympic fun day!
We supported the USA!

Jacob and Piper were our flag bearers. The class voted for them as being the best people for such a responsible job. They were selected because they display the attributes of the College St Kid. They are always striving for excellence and perform to their best ability in everything they do.

Olympic Fun Day by Annabel
Today College Street Normal School are having a super olympic fun day. We will be taking part in lots of activities.  When the bell rings the whole school will have to speed into the hall and Mr Kennedy or somebody else will be presenting  medals for being the best dressed competitor. There will be Gold, Silver and Bronze medals. Today I have dressed up in USA. I am wearing a litte cute hat and a top and some bright red leggings . I also have got red blue and white. I am going to do gymnastics and grass hopper tennis and even more. I might get a medal that is what everybody says in my class. When I got into the class Brooke and Lily said' you look very cool. I said '' thanks .I hope we all have a fun day

Lemons

  On   Friday  last   week   Mr  Durkin  brought   some  lemons   as   a   surprise   for   the   class. Everyone    had    different   thoughts     about   them.  Some    people    thought   they   were   delicious   and   some   people  thought  they  was  gross. He  brought  them   for    story   writing. When   we    first  saw  them   every   one   was     very    loud. 
Mr    Durkin     gave     everyone   a   lemon     but   we   weren't   allowed    to   eat   them. We  were    alowed    to   smell   them    and   listen    to   them[which   was  bbbooorrriiinnnggg   because   they   don't   make    a   sound.] Then    finely we  got   to    eat   them  . The   first   time   I    tasted  it   I   wished   I   hadn't   but   after  a    while   I   got   used   to  it but some   people   didn't.
We   had the experience  so   we   would  have    a   good   vision    of    our    time   eating   lemons. 
It   worked   every   one   wrote    perfect   stories that captured how we felt.

Piano competions

In the school holidays I went to the Manawatu piano competitions and played Pony tales with Malissa.

I played 4 solos, Musette, Allegro, big beat and Christmas Day Secrets. I won two bronze, two very highly commended and one highly commended.

The chocolate cake

On the 15th of July baked a chocolate cake for Mrs Elgar. I baked it with my dad. He had most of the ingredients out because he had baked cupcakes for Nga's kindergarten. It was fun because I got lots of the chocolate mixture on my dress so I got to have it. Luckily there was enough mixture for the cake! 

We were meant to put the cake in the oven for 50 minutes! But we put in for 40 minutes. Then I had to go to bed and I could not ice the cake because my dad had not iced his cupcakes but he said that he would ice the cake for me. In the morning my mum wrote THANK YOU in chocolate flavor and drew a pretty little flower with a yellow banana flavor middle or center and blue blueberry flavor around the outside. When we had the cake everyone went "Wow Tiaki this is delicious!" and I said "Thanks."

Six weeks ago I started brownies. The first day I started I went on camp in Tokomaru hall there were heaps of people there I knew. Why there were heaps of people there  was because there were pippins, brownies, guides and rangers. My cousin Victoria was a ranger. For breakfast we had  pancakes. W.e all got to have some fruit with them. We did not have to have the fruit but  did. Then we had to get dressed for the anzac parade in Tokomaru. Before we went to the parade we had to get into order. The order is pippins, brownies, guides and rangers. A couple of weeks later I went to the brownie hall and did some activities with my friends. 

After we have done all the activities we  sung a song. I will show you it "days end gone the sun from the hills from the sky safely rest god is nigh. That's the song then we went home and had tea.

My folder that I got tells you the things that you do at brownies and the badges that you can get.

Oliver'S Golden School

On Sunday my nana  Margaret came to my house for dinner when she got there I saw nana with some books called Oliver's Golden School.She said to me "these are some books because you are a great reader right''. I said "yes"  "Well you can read these book to the class." So I said'' I would love to." Then 1 second later I saw that at the very very bottom of the page was her name. 

She had written the story and her friend had illustrated it (Sarah Honor) .Then we had dinner but before I had to read it to nana there are tricking words like impossible and Carter (thats a name) and some the other words. Nana said "you read that book very very well Annabel". I said to nana "thanks you are a good writer I loved the story " We were giving a copy to each child in my class but we had about 20 short so when nana was about to leave. She found 20 more so we got some and then she got me a times table toons .Then she got the 20 books and then mum and her chatted. Then we said bye thanks for the books and times table things. See you next Sunday.

My puppy Roxie by Sophie

Today I brought my adorable puppy Roxie into my class this morning and every one was crawling all

 over her .
 It was so much fun being with her in the same spot. I just love hanging out with her and smiling with her in my 

house . At school everyone got to  pat  Roxie and hear about 

her life and what happened at puppy school .It was fun coming in


and showing my classmates my cute, little, puppy but best of 
all she got used to other children .  Now when I get home I can have a big, huge cuddle with her .
So yeah I'm a very lucky girl to have a nice puppy like
her.

They were going to their new homes. Every body  loved our kittens. They where so excited to see them.

I got the chubby one out first.. She was called Daisy . The next one I got out was Lola .  She is Kate and William's kitten.  The next one was Thomas  and Hannah's .  After we went to Miss  Blewitts's class  I found  out that she is allergic to cats . After we  brought the kittens home to their mum  Kate ,William ,Thomas and Hannah picked up their kittens.

We ket the chubby  one and called it Daisy.

 Me and Jordan made a 2 storey castle.

Odn came and helped us to make the 3 storey castle. When Kader came he said to me and Jordan I can help and we said yes.  Kader said thanks bro. Thats all right. Kader helped with us doing half of the 3 story castle.

 We were proud of ourselves.

Today Liz gave PJ  

a prize for going for gold! It was for great writing all term. He got a super science experiments kit!

 He has been trying all term to write really good sometimes Liz helps him. He has tried so hard all term that is along time but it was worth the struggle. He got a prize for all his hard work. He's going for gold! 
Well done PJ we are proud!!
